Jain Education Institutes support was registered by Dr Shugan C Jain, as a ‘not for profit’ trust in 2005 then named as International School for Jain Studies (ISJS, www.isjs.in), with the objectives of promoting academic studies of Jainism and create a cadre of Jain scholars globally; and to help Jain education and research institutes in India become self-reliant and effective in their chosen areas of services. ISJS indeed achieved its objectives and grew exponentially. To keep the growth of ISJS as a sustainable entity over a longer time horizon; in 2021 it was transferred (gifted at zero financial consideration) along with its staff, establishment and the credentials to Amar Prerna Trust Pune (owned by Dr Abhay Firodia and family Pune) as a running institute. Thus, the Trust registered earlier as ISJS became empty. Accordingly, the name of the trust was changed to Jain education Institutes Support (JEIS) and registered as JEIS

JEIS is now a Not for profit, Tax exempt (under section 80G), FCRA registered trust. It is fully transparent ad tax compliant with a galaxy of Jain scholars and business leaders interested in promoting education as its trustees led by Dr Shugan C Jain.
